How to Become a Member
The process of becoming a PMI Global Member and then joining the PMI Bulgaria Chapter is straightforward. Follow these two simple steps:
Step 1: Become a PMI Global Member
- Browse to www.pmi.org: This is the official global website for the Project Management Institute.
- Navigate to Membership: Look for a “Membership” or “Join PMI” section on the website. You can find this in the main navigation menu.
- Choose Your Membership Type: Click on “Join PMI” or “Renew Membership” if you are rejoining.
- Complete the Online Application: Fill out the required personal and professional information.
- Add Chapter Membership (Optional, but Recommended): During the global membership application process, you will usually have the option to add a local chapter. This is where you should select “Bulgaria Chapter” from the list. This will add the chapter dues to your total payment.
- Checkout and Pay: Complete your registration by paying with a credit card.
Once your application is processed by the PMI Global Operations Center (usually within a few business days), your data will be added to the global PMI database and subsequently shared with our chapter database.
Step 2: Join the PMI Bulgaria Chapter (if you didn’t do so in Step 1)
If you are already a PMI Global Member and wish to add the PMI Bulgaria Chapter, follow these steps:
- Access the Member Logon Area: Go to www.pmi.org and log in to your PMI account using your PMI ID number and password.
- Navigate to “MyPMI” or “Dashboard”: Once logged in, look for a section related to your membership profile or dashboard.
- Find “Communities” or “Chapter Information”: Within your profile, locate a link or section related to “Communities” or “Join a Chapter.” You might see a sentence like “Join a chapter near you.”
- Select the Bulgaria Chapter: From the list of available chapters, select “Bulgaria Chapter.”
- Proceed to Checkout: Click “Continue” and you will be directed to a checkout screen where you can pay the chapter dues with a credit card.
