Renat is a serial entrepreneur and leading expert in the field of climate and nature finance, where he is engaged since 1999. He is CEO of Terra Impact Ventures. Before that, he founded and led South Pole and the myclimate foundation from startups to global climate action players.
Renat has been elected “Social Entrepreneur of Switzerland” by the World Economic Forum’s Schwab Foundation, and he serves as a member of the Expert Network of the WEF. He acts as Innovation Council for the Swiss government and holds numerous chairman and board roles. He is author of the climate-action drama “The Carbon Paradox”.
Renat holds a Master degree in Environmental Sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) and has completed executive education programs at INSEAD and the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS).
Renat is based in Zurich and rooted in Europe, but has spent a significant time of his life in the Global South, including over five years in various roles in Indonesia.
