PMP Certification Updates

As of April 14th 2020 PMI is offering the ability to schedule to take the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam online. Administered on a secure platform using proven exam delivery technology, the online exam is exactly the same as the version administered at a test center: the same quality, the same questions, and there’s even a live proctor.

   All you need is:
  • computer with a webcam
  • reliable internet connection
  • quiet space where you can spend a few uninterrupted hours

You can read more details here.

Which PMBOK Guide to use when preparing: 6th or 7th Edition? The PMBOK Guide 6th edition is listed among 10 other books in the reference guide for the PMP. As per a check with PMI Global once the PMBOK 7th edition is released, it will probably be added as a reference. Still the PMP will not be based on it or necessarily updated due to the new version of the guide. So, waiting until the PMBOK guide is refreshed to go for the PMP is not recommended at this stage.
