PMI Monthly Meeting #135

We invite you to join the PMI Bulgaria Chapter for our Monthly Meeting #135, featuring Kiril Grigorov, an expert in cybersecurity and risk management. This event will be held online on 26 November, from 19:00 - 20:00.

Theme
2025: The Year Cybersecurity Becomes Non-Negotiable (Online Event)

The year 2025 marks a turning point where corporate cybersecurity is transitioning from an operational necessity to a strategic choice. As cyber threats become more complex and sophisticated, a proactive, company-wide approach is the only effective defense; waiting is no longer an option.

We will explore key conclusions regarding this critical shift:
- Cybersecurity is a business-critical investment that is no longer optional, essential for the survival and trust of your organization.
- Proactive defense is mandatory because reactive strategies are outdated, requiring you to anticipate threats before they strike.
- Technology alone is not enough; even the best tools fail without informed, vigilant teams.
- Data access must be tightly controlled through the application of the principle of least privilege across the organization.
- Cybercrime is global and profit-driven, necessitating a unified, strategic, and relentless response.
- Human error is the biggest vulnerability, and training serves as the strongest shield against threats like phishing and IBAN fraud.
- Third-party risks are real, as suppliers and partners can be weak links and must be rigorously evaluated.

Learning Objectives
By attending this session, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the strategic importance of cybersecurity.
- Identify key cyber threats and understand their potential impact.
- Apply the principles of proactive cyber defense.
- Implement best practices for access control.

- Promote a security-aware culture within their teams.
