Updated PMI Bulgaria Chapter Bylaw has been officially registered with the Bulgarian Registry Agency and is now in effect.
The changes in the bylaw was approved by a decision of the General Assembly held on 22 January 2026 and reflects important updates to align the Chapter’s governance with current operational needs and the requirements of Project Management Institute (PMI Global).

Key Highlights of the Update
- Board Term Limits Revised
Introduction of best-practice term limits:- Maximum of two consecutive terms in the same position
- Maximum of three consecutive terms on the Board overall
- Additional Chapter Roles Defined
Clear requirements have been established for additional Chapter roles (e.g., Directors) who support various Chapter projects under the supervision of the respective PMI BG Chapter Vice President. - President-Elect Role Removed
The position of President-Elect has been removed from the governance structure. - Conflict of Interest Provision Updated
The provision allowing members of the Management Board or committee members with material interest to enter into contractual relations with the Chapter has been removed.
This change follows updated policies from PMI Global abolishing this right.
