We know now that interpersonal skills are as important as mastery of the technical skills of project management. Experience teaches us that the more we can relate to stakeholders and their struggles, the better we are at achieving project results with them. Empathy is a superpower we can all develop. It’s more than just walking a mile in someone else’s shoes; it is about using this skill to deliver superior results. In this session Dev Ramcharan, an International expert on applying emotional intelligence techniques to project management, will walk us through how we can develop and leverage empathy to generate outstanding project results.

About the Speaker

Dev Ramcharan has worked in, built and managed Project Management Offices for over 20 years, in Banking, Telecommunications, Health Care and in Municipal Government. Dev is an experienced organizational development consultant, focused on individual and organizational change. His areas of expertise include Emotional Intelligence program development and Culture Change (using the OCAI model). Dev is PMP, CSM, and Prosci Organizational Change Management certified. He is also a certified Career Transition Coach, Corporate Trainer, and an Emotional Intelligence Assessor, Trainer and Coach. He currently works with the City of Toronto as a Management Consultant in the Technology Services Division.
